On the Occasion of the World Day Against Human Trafficking
31 July 2025
On the solemn occasion of the World Day Against Human Trafficking, the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan, rooted in the ancient heritage of Lebanon and Syria and under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII, pauses in its global operations to reaffirm its unwavering commitment to the international fight against the abhorrent crimes of human trafficking and exploitation.
As a House holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), we acknowledge the profound moral, ethical, and humanitarian imperative to confront the global scourge of modern slavery, forced labor, and the trafficking of vulnerable individuals, especially women and children.
We call upon all governments, international organizations, civil society, non-governmental organizations, and all people of goodwill to stand united in defense of human dignity, justice, and freedom. In this ongoing struggle, the House of Ghassan remains steadfast in its advocacy, education, and support for concrete policies and coordinated actions that seek to eradicate trafficking and uphold the sanctity of every human life.
Let this day serve not only as a remembrance of the suffering endured by millions across the world but also as a renewed call to collective action. Together, we must work to bring an end to this grave injustice within our time.
Issued under the Royal Seal of the House of Ghassan
