  • Shield: Azure, with a Gules band, edged with Argent and loaded with three patent Argent crosses, accompanied by two Argent greyhound heads

  • Crown: Count (French Ancien Régime: coronet of pearls)

  • Helmet: Steel, closed, bars in Or, in three-quarter dexter profile

  • Torse and Mantle: Azure and Argent

  • Crest: a lamb regardant, with a halo, holding a cross with the Standard of Saint Andrew

  • Supports: an Argent sea horse tongued in Gules and an angel with a deer passing at her feet, placed on meadow Vert

  • Pavillion: Azure, with ermine lapels, edged and fringed with Or, tied by Argent pearls at the top surmounted by a Duke's crown (French Ancien Régime: coronet of acanthus leaves)

  • Decorations: Badges of the Equestrian Order of Christ Pantocrator (GColCP), Equestrian Order of Saint Sergius (GColSS), Equestrian Order of Michael Archangel (GColMA)

DESIGN NOTES: The design takes elements from various portions of the armiger’s background. The colors in the designs hark back to the various Boyd family Arms in Scotland, particularly Kilmarnock. The greyhounds reflect the armiger’s patron saint, Dominic de Guzmán, and the Hounds of God. The three Crosses Pattee represent his vows made at baptism, ordained as a presbyter and Benedictine oblate, and when he was conferred the dignity of Chevalier by the Ordo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani (Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem) under the late Royal Patron, Her Highness Princess Elisabeth of Ysenburg and Büdingen, Princess of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. The crest represents the armiger’s vocation as a Presbyterian minister and family ties to Scotland. The sea horse represents Tartus, Syria, an ancient seaport and a religious site for Christians. The angel and stag represent the Qatana region outside of Damascus, Syria, a historic area for Christians. The angel represents the messengers of Good News, and the stag symbolizes Christ, who tramples and destroys the devil. HIRH Prince Gharios granted the Noble Pravillion with the titular heraldric honors of count and then of a duke with corresponding crowns.
