The Royal Order of Merit
The Royal Order of Merit bears the effigy of HIRH Prince Sheikh Antonios El Chemor (1910-1971). The Order of Merit was created in honor of the Prince's altruism. Sheikh Antonios, with his priceless contributions, led the Royal House of Ghassan until his premature death in 1971. Some of his known contributions were providing free water to 48 villages in Lebanon (still serving around 200,000 people today) and advocating for a law to provide free dialysis to every Lebanese citizen, which remains valid today.
