Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences

The Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences is established under the auspices of the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan to:
1. Advance research, education, and policy rooted in the Ghassanid commitment to the flourishing of humanity through cultural preservation, spiritual development, and the common good.
2. Serve as a global platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogue between worldviews that empowers leaders, scholars, artists, educators, and policymakers to address the world’s pressing challenges with vision, wisdom, and compassion.
3. Support the mission of the Royal House of Ghassan in protecting religious and ethnic minorities, advancing peace, dialogue, and humanitarian aid, and restoring the dignity of people through educational renaissance and spiritual renewal.

Charter of the Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences
Under the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan
Established by Decree of HRH Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII

Article I: Establishment
The Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences (RGAAS) is hereby established as a consultative, interdisciplinary body under the aegis of the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan, in accordance with its internationally recognized rights and obligations under the Convention adopted on 25 January 2025.
The Academy shall operate as a consultative institution with international scope and moral authority in educational, scientific, artistic, spiritual, and policy development, fully aligned with the jus cogens purpose and mission of the House of Ghassan.
Article II: Purpose
The Academy exists to:
Advance interdisciplinary research, ethical scholarship, and policy innovation rooted in the Ghassanid vision of human dignity, vocation, peace, and cultural renewal.
Serve as a think tank and advisory body in matters of governance, education, spirituality, arts, and the protection of cultural and religious minorities.
Promote Logos One’s paradigm of vocation-centered education as a foundation for personal and societal transformation.
Strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and dialogue between worldviews to promote the common good across nations, faiths, and communities.
Article III: Core Values
The Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences affirms the following foundational values:
Human Dignity and Vocational Purpose
Every human being is born with a unique Logos —a purpose that must be discovered, nurtured, and aligned with service to humanity.Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue
Building bridges among peoples and faiths, especially in the Middle East and its diasporas, through mutual respect and reconciliation.Cultural Preservation and Innovation
Safeguarding the tangible and intangible heritage of the Ghassanids and Middle Eastern communities through knowledge, memory, and creative expression.Justice and Human Rights
Upholding the universal rights of conscience, expression, education, and participation in public life, particularly for minorities.Truth-Seeking and Intellectual Freedom
Fostering inquiry, dialogue, and truth in all disciplines without ideological or political coercion.Peace through Wisdom
Promoting peace and reconciliation through diplomacy, scholarship, and critical reasoning grounded in ethics and compassion.
Article IV: International Goals
The Academy shall:
Advise governments, UN bodies, NGOs, and academic institutions on education, governance, cultural heritage, and human rights;
Advance the vocational and personalized education model of Logos One worldwide;
Engage in public diplomacy, cultural exchange, and conflict transformation;
Support efforts to protect minority communities, particularly Christians and indigenous peoples in the Middle East;
Establish fellowships, awards, and honors in recognition of outstanding contributions to the human family.
In addition, the Academy shall actively seek collaboration and mutual engagement with other national, regional, and international academies of arts, sciences, and humanities. These partnerships aim to:
Advance the global exchange of knowledge, research, and best practices across disciplines;
Foster cross-cultural and interreligious dialogue through shared scholarly initiatives, particularly in areas aligned with the Academy’s core values of peacebuilding, cultural preservation, and human development;
Jointly address global challenges such as educational reform, ethical governance, climate resilience, heritage protection, public health, and sustainable development;
Promote vocational-centered education models, including the dissemination and contextual application of the Logos One framework in diverse educational and socio-political settings;
Support the mobility and recognition of researchers and fellows, encouraging international symposia, visiting scholar programs, fellow exchanges, and co-authored publications;
Strengthen the diplomatic and cultural mission of the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan, positioning the Academy as an active participant in multilateral intellectual diplomacy.
Such cooperation shall be pursued in accordance with the Academy’s Charter and under the sovereign oversight of the Chancellery, always maintaining the Academy’s independence, values, and alignment with its foundational jus cogens commitments.
Article V: Chapters and Disciplines
The work of the Academy shall be conducted through specialized Chapters, each composed of scholars, experts, and practitioners. Initial Chapters include:
Governance and Peacebuilding
Political science, law, organizational development, and diplomacy.Cultural and Religious Heritage
History, theology, anthropology, heritage preservation.Educational Transformation and Human Potential
Pedagogy, psychology, developmental science, Logos One curriculum.Arts, Literature, and Creative Expression
Music, visual and performing arts, literary studies.Science, Environment, and Innovation
Ecology, technology, public health, and sustainable development.Human Rights and Social Advocacy
International law, humanitarian aid, gender, and minority rights.Interreligious Dialogue and Spirituality
Comparative religion, spiritual leadership, ethics.
Additional Chapters may be created as needed by the Chancellery at the direction of the President of the Academy.
Article VI: Membership and Appointments
Honorary and Senior Fellows for Life are appointed by the Sovereign Prince, President of the Academy, or the Grand Chancellor in recognition of their moral or intellectual authority.
Research Fellows are scholars or practitioners actively engaged in the Academy’s work through one or more Chapters.
Associate Fellows contribute in an advisory or collaborative capacity to specific programs, research, or initiatives.
Members are those who are recipients of the Royal Order of Arts and Sciences.
Student Members and Youth Ambassadors are emerging leaders nurtured under the principles of Logos One.
Membership is by invitation or application and subject to approval by the Academy Council under the authority of the Chancellery.
Article VII: Governance
The Patron and Protector of the Academy is His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII, Head of the House of Ghassan.
The President of the Academy is the Chief Executive and spiritual director of the Academy, oversees Chapters, appoints or removes Chapter Chairs, signs all Memoranda of Understanding and international agreements, presents honorary fellowships and awards, and nominates to the Head of the House of Ghassan other executive officers for approval and appointment.
The Grand Chancellor of the House of Ghassan serves the Academy Chancellor and oversees its administration, appointments, logistical, and communication functions, and agenda.
A Council of Chapters composed of the Chairs of each academic Chapter shall advise the President and may recommend new initiatives and appointments.
All governance operations and decisions are subject to the authority and oversight of the Chancellery of the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan, as directed by the Patron and Protector, and President of the Academy.
Article VIII: International Recognition and Relations
The Academy shall maintain consultative relationships with international bodies, academic institutions, and civil society organizations in harmony with its purpose.
The Academy may enter into memoranda of understanding, strategic partnerships, and knowledge-sharing arrangements consistent with the House’s sovereign status and the principles of international law.
The Academy may convene symposia, publish reports, and contribute to academic journals and forums of international diplomacy and development.
Article IX: Amendments
This Charter may be amended by the Grand Chancellor of the Royal House of Ghassan with the approval of the Sovereign Prince and the President of the Academy.
Any amendment must be consistent with the Convention and the core purposes of the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan.
